Lentegí is a typical Andalusian town of 333 inhabitants, with steep and narrow streets, situated on the south side of the Almijara Mountains. The municipality belongs to the Tropical Coast of Granada, situated at 65 km. from the capital, at 38 km. from Motril and 18 km. from Almuñécar. This small town is situated at an altitude of 621 metres, at the Tropical Valley of Río Verde.
The viewpoints of “Era del Peñón” and “Balcón de Lentegi” are ideal places to rest and delight the views, considering that we can enjoy unbeatable panoramic views of the Tajo Melión, the meadow, “el Molinillo”, the Almijara mountain and the valley of río Verde.
To access the village from Granada, you should take the Sierra Nevada-Costa Tropical A-44 highway and take the Padul – Otívar exit. You can also access to the town from Almuñécar through the N-340 road (Bailén-Motril).
The viewpoint has a pedestrian access.
