Güevéjar – Pond

The town of Güevéjar is located on the western side of the Castillejo de Nívar (known in the town as Peñón de Bartolo). It borders to the north with the municipality of Cogollos Vega, to the east with Nívar and Alfacar, to the south with Pulianas and to the west with Peligros and Calicasas.

The Tejútor pond, shaped like a Roman hippodrome, was built around 1920 by Manuel Alva Romero, for the irrigation of the municipality’s lands.
