Calle Puentezuelas, 55, 18002 Granada

The Faculty of Translation and Interpreting of the University of Granada was created in 1979, the second oldest in Spain, after the one created by the UAB (Barcelona). It is located in the Palacio de las Columnas, a U-shaped building with a large garden in the center, which is one of the most imposing examples of neoclassical civil architecture in the city. This building houses the library, classrooms, computer rooms, laboratories, the Conference Room and the Dean’s Office.

The facilities are completed with the buildings on Buensuceso Street, including La Casona de Buensuceso, a three-story manor house from the mid-eighteenth century organized around an arcaded courtyard, and an annex building, which are mainly devoted to offices, but which also houses the Salón de Grados and the Multipurpose Room.

Finally, in 2019 the Palacio de los Condes de la Jarosa, located on Paz Street, an 18th century building consisting of three floors, two courtyards and a back garden, was added to the Faculty’s buildings. The building houses the Center for Slavic Cultures, the Confucius Institute and the headquarters of the CASA program in Granada.
