Cacín – Bridge

Cacín´s “Roman” Bridge, despite its popular name, was built in the early 20th century. Its structure consists of a large central arch, with several smaller semicircular arches above it supporting the upper platform, inspired by the architecture of Ancient Rome.

The bridge is located in the Tajos of Cacín River, at the entrance to the gorge, surrounded by imposing rock walls rising over one hundred metres high.

The surrounding area also has significant archaeological value. Its caves were inhabited more than 6,000 years ago, and the Vaso de los Tajos de Cacín, a Neolithic artefact now preserved at the Museo Arqueológico Nacional, was discovered there.
