Purullena – Cave-dwelling

Purullena is an agricultural and traditional municipality, known for its large number of cave dwellings. It has one of the most important archaeological sites in the province, many of them located in the Archaeological Museum of Granada.

“Hábitat Troglodita Almagruz” is a place where you can recreate life in cave dwellings in general and the Almagruz country house in particular. A collection of habitats ranging from prehistoric settlements to contemporary caves, including a 16th century “Casa de Labranza”, a cave dwelling construction that includes in its rooms all kinds of utensils and tools from that period.  This area is ideal for any type of production related to the rural environment.
