Ugíjar – Gully

FILM IN GRANADA HELPS YOU MANAGE YOUR FILMING PROJECTS IN OUR PROVINCE

Nestled between red clay wadis, Ugíjar is one of the most important urban areas of the Alpujarra of Granada. Its streets and squares still preserve part of the charm of the Moorish towns of medieval times, being one of the richest towns in the province in terms of historic and monumental houses.

On the other side of the river Nechite, on the south side of Ugíjar, is La Terrera La Cará, made up of sedimentary gorges with gullies of Quaternary origin. From here are visible the artificial caves dug into the cliffs, the only known example in the Alpujarra. This location is a strategic point from which a magnificent panoramic view of Ugíjar can be enjoyed.
