Órgiva – Bridge

Situated in the middle of a plain of orchards and olive trees, Órgiva is considered as the capital of the Alpujarra region. Its municipal district forms part of the Sierra Nevada Natural Park and is located on its southern slopes. Situated at the confluence of the river Guadalfeo and its tributary “Río Chico”, the town combines in its urban and lifestyle planning modern features with others that have remained intact for centuries in the region.

Crossed by the Guadalfeo River, the “Puente de los Siete Ojos” stands out for its seven circular openings, showing a natural landscape characterised by reeds, willows, poplars and other Mediterranean species that grow around the natural stream. The formation gives rise to a rural landscape characteristic of the area.
