Rubite – Viewpoint

Rubite is a white village that has managed to preserve in its streets and its people all the charm of the low Alpujarra. Located in the southeast of the province, it lies at the foot of the Sierras de Lújar and Contraviesa. The municipality of Rubite consists of the villages of Rubite, Rambla del Agua, Casarones, Los Gálvez, Barranco Ferrer, El Lance and Los Díaz.

The landscape surrounding the town is very beautiful, formed by a harmonic conjunction between the mountainous relief, the capricious and impossible cliffs, the patches of natural vegetation and the traditional cultivation of almond trees, vines and fig trees.

The village of Rubite keeps this spectacular Almohade Aljibe ( 12th century) of Nasrid construction. About 60 meters to the right, we find a recreational area with a viewpoint towards the Sierra de Lújar, from where you can glimpse the sea while enjoying the air of the mountains.
