Güevéjar – Old Town

The town of Güevéjar is located on the western side of the Castillejo de Nívar (known in the town as Peñón de Bartolo). It borders to the north with the municipality of Cogollos Vega, to the east with Nívar and Alfacar, to the south with Pulianas and to the west with Peligros and Calicasas.

In the Plaza de la Constitución, with the Town Hall and the Church, the geometric design of its streets, planned by the architect Marín Baldo, can be seen. A special mention should be made of its magnificent neoclassical temple of 1886 (19th century).
