Dehesas de Guadix – Viewpoint

Dehesas de Guadix, also popularly called Las Dehesas or La Dehesa, is a municipality located in the northeastern end of the region of Los Montes. It borders the Granada municipalities of Cuevas del Campo, Freila, Gorafe, Villanueva de las Torres, Pedro Martínez, Alamedilla and Alicún de Ortega, and the Jaén municipalities of Cabra del Santo Cristo, Quesada, Huesa and Pozo Alcón. The history of the town dates back to the time of the War of Granada.

The Los Naranjales’ Viewpoint, also known as Astrotourism Viewpoint of Dehesas de Guadix, is located within the Geopark of Granada. It has installed explanatory panels that teach visitors to read the night sky and orient themselves with the stars, also provide information about the Geopark itself.
