Almuñécar – Aqueduct

Almuñécar is one of the most important archaeo-tourist destinations in Andalusia, where every corner contains the remains of the ancient history of the city. Its coastline is known by the brand name of Costa Tropical, a name in keeping with its extensive beaches, its climatic conditions and its exuberant tropical and subtropical vegetation. A unique combination in the Iberian Peninsula, as well as in the whole European continent.

This area has a Roman aqueduct from the 1st century AD, which carried water to the city and the salting factory, that was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 1931.
