Guadix – Old Sugar Factory

Old San Torcuato sugar factory started working at the beginning of the 20th century. It was used as a strategic place during the Civil War, and after the conflict it became a prison for the Partido Judicial de Guadix (Guadix’s Judicial Party). It was later used as film set for Sergio Leone’s 1971 movie Giù la testa (Once Upon a Time in the Revolution).
