Cenes de la Vega – Former school
FILM IN GRANADA HELPS YOU MANAGE YOUR FILMING PROJECTS IN OUR PROVINCE
Former Public Schools of the municipality of Cenes de la Vega, of Neomudejar style.
In April 1927, Dolores Romero Pozo had the first school group built in Cenes de la Vega and named it after herself. These schools consisted of two large classrooms, one for boys and one for girls, gardens and living quarters for the teachers. Until that date, Cenes de la Vega lacked schools and classes were taught in the first floor of a house owned by the Uceda Díaz sisters, a house that was renovated and is now the Municipal Library of Cenes de la Vega ( Former House of Culture).
In 2006, the current school was inaugurated and the CEIP Dolores Romero Pozo was used as an expansion of the new one, as since the inauguration its facilities have been insufficient to meet the demand of the entire population of the municipality.
