Albuñuelas – Old Town
FILM IN GRANADA HELPS YOU MANAGE YOUR FILMING PROJECTS IN OUR PROVINCE
Albuñuelas is located to the west of the Lecrín Valley, it is immersed in the mountain range that receives the same name as the town, with an approximate extension of 14,000 hectares. It is considered the “Lung of the Valley”. It is a privileged place for its enclaves, where the visitor will be able to contemplate admirable views, as well as, to walk through a forest of pines and centennial olive trees, constantly lulled by the rumor that produce an endless number of springs and streams, that, next to the Santo river, form a true aquifer paradise.
Nature and water give life to the different species of animals (thrushes, partridges, blackbirds, rabbits, wild boars, deer, mountain goats, wood pigeons,) and plants (wild, aromatic and medicinal species) that populate this place.
It is also a pleasure to visit places like the Castle and see from there the silhouette of the three neighborhoods of Albuñuelas: the Alto, the Bajo and the Loma; or to walk through its narrow streets, traces of a medieval past, full of picturesque corners of unique beauty, such as the lavadero or the neighborhood of La Habana.
